Dr. Powell brings a unique perspective to her philosophy of care- She was diagnosed with hearing loss at the tender age of 3 and has been a hearing aid user since. “The reason I became an audiologist is so I can help others who are like me. I want to do my part to help change the stigma associated with hearing loss and hearing aids. I don’t just arbitrarily relate to the challenges of having hearing loss- I experience and know them firsthand every day. This is what separates me from many in my field and what drives me to work diligently to improve others quality of life, beyond professional training.”

Scout Audiology, PLLC was formed in 2017 by Kelly Powell, Au.D. Dr. Powell is a fully licensed Doctor of Audiology and member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). She was born and raised in Texas and has been a proud Austinite since 2010. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She continued her education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center medical campus, where she graduated with honors and received her Doctorate in Audiology.

Dr. Powell has experience in a wide variety of audiological environments, including extensive work with hearing aids, expertise in pre- and post-operative diagnostic hearing and balance testing. Dr. Powell has experience working with ear nose and throat and neurotologic physicians who specialized in diseases of the ear.
