Doctors of Audiology have received specialized training in the anatomy and physiology of the hearing and balance systems. Audiologists receive extensive training and knowledge of amplification systems, hearing conservation and tinnitus management, all of which culminate together to provide a safe approach from start to finish. There may be more going on than just hearing loss, therefore it is vital to be seen by an audiologist who can provide adequate identification and physician referral, when needed.
